Ecobank, one of Africa’s leading banks and the winner of Africa Investor of the Year 2015 opened applications for its yearly Ecobank Fintech Challenge to empower African fintech to boost Africa’s financial growth.

The annual challenge, initiated in 2017, has significantly boosted numerous fintech companies across Africa. Notable past winners include Trove from Nigeria, Oko Finance from Mali, Motito from Ghana, and One Finance from Kenya.

With over 5,500+ participants across Africa, 60 fintech startups enrolled, 10M customers across 19 countries, and $9M raised to date, the Ecobank Fintech Challenge is identifying and supporting fintech that are ready to scale and leverage their success stories to improve Africa’s financial integration and economy.
